The start of our Kennel 1970 was the purchase of a red longhaired  bitch named Heidi, whose sire was the most winning male in Scandinavia , INT.Ch, DKCHG NordCH Ib av Furustam. Heidi had a great personality with an outstanding character, very good hunting qualifications, but rather with an ordinary exterior. However, her puppies became of a much better quality, and we decided to keep this line.

Influenced by brilliant imports from Germany, Netherlands and France we succeeded  in improving the quality, so that they are among the top dogs in Europe of today. We always have in mind to breed healthy dogs, and most of our breedings have reached a high age without problems.

I am a very active person ,- always rushing around in Europe in order to show our dogs on big shows, to judge or to participate in conferences.

Since 1972 I have been involved in the Danish Dachshund club and today I'm  representing Denmark in the WUT (World Teckel Union). I got my hunting license 1977.

Furthermore I am a judge for the FCI-Group 4 and till now I have been judging on big shows in Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Schwitzerland and Austria. I think it's incredibly interesting to keep up with the development in the countries around us. This a great advantage for my work in the WUT and of cause also for my own breeding program.

We breed one litter a year, because we want to spend much time with the puppies from they are born till they move to their new families, so that they are optimally socialized. Most of  the time, we have only one bitch for breeding (from the bitch is 3-4 years old till 7-8 years). Maybe this will increase a bit, because Horst is permanently home from now on and is able to take care of the dogs and the puppies.

My job as a teacher and advisor for adults also offers me more time at home than a normal job.

Almost everything in our life is about dogs, and it is a never changing lifestyle.
